Jane Austen Letter Writing Society First GIVE AWAY!!!!

It's Time For A Give AWAY!

Hello dear lovers of all things Jane Austen!  It has been quite a while since this blog has been up and running...and yet without a give away.  So let me amend this problem, post haste!

Of course , I consulted with Jane herself.  She approved of my selection.

I'm sure if you are a pursuer of Etsy  for Jane Austen  accessories , you have encountered "The Scottish Rebel "  Miss Esther does astonishing work with literary themes.  Of course I have favorited all of her Jane Austen necklaces.  They are gorgeous. I have selected one of her necklaces , "Jane Fan" to offer as my first give away.

I had no idea of the amazing quality until I received the necklace.  The chain is thick and sturdy.  The charms are beautiful...this one features an open book with a crystal.  The actual square picture has a raised glass edge, to give it a dimensional feel.  I just know that you will love this!  How can you win this gorgeous necklace?  It is simple:  1.) follow me, and  2.)leave a comment of why you enjoy Jane Austen.

This give away will end Next Friday:  April 1st...this is NO joke!  Have FUN everyone!

Regards,

Lady Pamela

  1. A very good morning to you Lady Pamela, as I sit here by my window with the sun shining through my thoughts go to Miss Austen and how she would have sat writing. I feel that my interest in Jane is down to the way I can picture her sitting writing whether it is at her desk, table or outside sitting under a tree. It is only through her wonderful writing that has allowed my imagination to blossom. Thank you for sharing so much with us.
    With kind regards
    Lady Anne

  3. What a lovely necklace! I enjoy Jane Austen so much because of the humor, wit, family values and authenticity of her writing. Even 200 years later you can easily relate to her characters, put yourself in their shoes, sympathize and be impatient with them...they feel real, because Jane wrote about real life...with a happy ending.

  4. What a wonderful giveaway!
I love Jane Austen for creating heroines that are entirely relatable for females throughout the years. I love Elizabeth Bennet's playful address, and who doesn't want to be known for having "Fine eyes"? :) Who hasn't let their better judgement be overridden as Anne Elliot did? And goodness, an overactive imagination such as Catherine Morland has is only too relatable! I believe there is a Jane Austen heroine for every phase of your life saying " Cheer up, don't take yourself too seriously. It's been done before."
Well, that's why I love Jane Austen!
    Ta ta!

  5. Thank your for the opportunity! I really like the way she told the stories which could happened today or last year. I think many women dreaming of a man like Mr. Darcy, Mr. Wentworth or Mr. Knightley. They are real Gentlemen. I read all books of her and I wish she had wrote more. Her storys are awesome. It is about the normal life and the important things in the past. If I could I would love to be Elizabeth Bennet to meet Mr. Darcy and fell in love with him. Or to be Anne Elliot and hope that Mr. Wentworth still loves me after all this time. Or Emma and help other people to fall in love and then marry Mr. Knightley.
I could talk hours about her and her books.
    Nice greetings

  6. I have loved Jane Austen since I was a little girl. I think I own every version of the video reproductions and all the books. I love the stories, the heroines, and the ability to relate, even today! I was born in the wrong era!

  8. Oh! This necklace is so lovely, and the most important thing, it reflects absolute Jane Austen. The first meeting with Jane and me was the Pride and Prejudice movie in 2005. I admitted I am guilty, because I have to read her before. But when I made acquainted with Jane, I really think that we have the same thoughts about society, its classification, the thoughts of community... Above all, both Jane and I have the same mentality about love... Jane is my best friend now, I've given her name to my diaries and in this manner we've talked every day on everything. And for the last, I would like to have the ability to write in her early years that she has...

    Best regards,

  9. Good day Lady Pamela,
My love of Jane Austen is multidimensional. First, I love that she was true to herself and me a career from her writing despite the nay-sayers of the time.
Second, I love her witty writing and her commentary on society's and the individual's follies.
Lastly, I love her for creating Elizabeth & Darcy ♡.

  11. Lady Pamela,

(I have always had your blog bookmarked, but now I actually follow you! I confess that I'm still a bit behind on some social media stuff.)

I enjoy Jane Austen because her books and characters have honestly made my life better. This may sound exaggerative, but it's the first thing that comes to mind. I've lived with social anxiety for many years. And being a fan of Austen has allowed me to meet wonderful people, online and in life that I might not have talked to otherwise. Just last week I got into a discussion about Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey while sitting in a waiting room, and I wasn't nervous because I was too focused on talking about my favorite characters. I love Austen's amazing writing, but I also love how it has helped me personally.
